Empowering & Inspiring Neuro-Diverse Minds
Occupational Therapy at IMPACT focuses on supporting fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living skills to promote greater independence in all areas of life. Our occupational therapists work with students to develop the foundational skills needed for academic tasks such as handwriting, cutting, and using classroom tools, as well as essential life skills including dressing, feeding, and personal hygiene. Through individualized assessment and intervention, we address each student's unique sensory needs and motor challenges.
The program incorporates sensory integration techniques to help students process and respond to sensory information more effectively, reducing overstimulation and improving focus and attention. Our therapists create personalized sensory diets and environmental modifications that support optimal learning and participation. By building fine motor strength, coordination, and sensory regulation, we empower students to engage more fully in classroom activities, social interactions, and daily routines, ultimately fostering greater independence and self-confidence.
