Curriculum Modification at IMPACT involves adapting subjects and learning materials to match each learner's individual needs within both mainstream and specialized support settings. Our curriculum specialists work collaboratively with classroom teachers to modify content, teaching methods, assignments, and assessments so that all students can access and engage with the curriculum meaningfully. This may include simplifying language, breaking down complex concepts, providing visual supports, adjusting pacing, or offering alternative ways to demonstrate understanding.
The modification process is dynamic and responsive, continuously evolving based on student progress and changing needs. We ensure that curriculum modifications maintain academic rigor while making content accessible, allowing students to work toward the same learning goals as their peers through pathways that match their learning styles. Our approach respects each student's intellectual capacity while acknowledging that they may need different supports to demonstrate their knowledge and skills. By thoughtfully adapting curriculum, we help students experience success, build confidence, and remain engaged in their educational journey.
